The Hollerin’ Manifesto
According to politicalcompass.org, I am a Social Libertarian (or Anarchist). Economically, that makes me an adherent of the “Left.”
However, I argue that I’m actually a populist Republican with a conservative sensibility.
Economically speaking, I believe in the power of markets, but markets are only as good as the rules that govern them.
Culturally, however, I am NOT a disciple of Critical Race Theory and the New Religion of Anti-Racism. I do not believe I am inherently “racist,” as traditionally defined, simply because I am white. However, I understand that I probably have some subconscious biases that may lead me to unintentionally discriminate against people. I also agree that systemic racism exists and that we need to dismantle the institutions of white supremacy.
I support Universal Healthcare, a (Conditional) Basic Income, a Federal Job Guarantee, a $15 Minimum Wage, Student Debt Cancellation, Pro-Union policies, and a [Mean] New Deal.
In many ways, I’m a #ProudBernieBro, but I think he has to keep it real regarding mass immigration. Too much of a good thing ain’t good for nobody.
I believe we must reduce corporate and oligarchical power by applying a substantial Wealth Tax. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind taxing Billionaires out of existence to preserve our democracy, eliminate homelessness, and educate our people towards a happier and more civilized way of life.
I do NOT believe that the National Debt or Deficit is an existential threat to our country. According to Modern Monetary Theory, inflation should be the primary measure of concern. Since we have not experienced widespread and rapid inflation in years, our Federal Reserve should print (or digitize) far more money, and Congress should spend it accordingly. There aren’t any excuses. Our neoliberal lovin’ gerontocrats just need to pull their heads out of their asses and get edumacated.
I support providing our federal agencies all the funding they need to adequately enforce the laws on the books, especially the Internal Revenue Service and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; I want the investigation and prosecution of White Collar Crime to be a top priority of federal officials. If we can simply ensure that sophisticated wrongdoers will likely be detected and commensurately punished, we can significantly reduce the prevalence of such crimes.
I support downsizing the Military-Industrial Complex and redirecting the funds to educational programs and scientific research. According to the official budget, we spend over $700 BILLION PER YEAR on “defense spending.” Off the record, however, when you account for its confidential “black budget,” it is estimated that the Defense Department spends over $1 TRILLION PER YEAR. Unfortunately, we may never know precisely how much that bloated bureaucracy spends since it can’t pass an audit. However, considering that we spend more on weapons of war than the top ten countries combined, I think it’s time to change our priorities.
Ultimately, I think we must embrace a “Game B” Anti-Rivalrous Global Economic System moving forward. I think we must transcend the hyper-competitive nature of the Old World Order and adopt a cooperative mindset to ensure our survival as a species. To accelerate the process towards this better and brighter future, we must encourage each other to embrace constructive leisure time; we must DO LESS and THINK MORE.
In other words, I support the growth of Gross Domestic KNOWLEDGE (GDK) over GDP, and it is our duty as sovereign citizens to educate each other out of our little prisons of ideological enslavement, for WE ARE THE MESSAGE to our friends and family, and community at large, and we must leave our Ivory Towers, each and every day, to ensure our Freedom of Speech does not preclude Freedom of Reach, and only by maintaining an Anti-Fragile philosophy of life, by which we perpetuate and promulgate our noble purposes as both Wizards AND Warriors, Scribes and Soldiers, and Writers and Walkers can we maintain PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. 🧙♂️🤠💪👍🖋️🗡️🏃♂️❤️
